TradeUP uses only a few first-party cookies and local storage items, needed for the site to work and to measure our own sign-up funnel. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.
1. What we use
tradeup-locale (website): remembers your language. Duration: 1 year.
tradeup_stats_optout (website and app): remembers that you refused statistics, only if you do. Duration: 2 years.
tradeup_fid (app): a random visit identifier used to count, in aggregate, how many visitors reach each step of sign-up. It is stored hashed on our side and never used for advertising. Duration: 400 days.
Sign-in storage (app, local storage and IndexedDB): keeps you signed in through our authentication provider (Firebase).
App preferences (app, local storage): remembers where you stopped during setup and whether you are viewing the demo.
2. Your choices
The language, sign-in and preference items are strictly necessary for the service. The visit identifier is used only to produce aggregate statistics that help us improve the service, is never shared with third parties and never used to track you on other sites; under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, it can be used without consent as long as you can refuse it. You can refuse it at any time with the button below.
You can also delete these items in your browser settings; you will then be signed out and your preferences reset.
3. Changes
If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
